".
Our support for the Beazley report reflects our desire to see a strong emphasis on the teaching of languages to inculcate a culture of multilingualism within our education systems in Ireland. We also believe that all citizens should have access to detailed and unbiased information about the European Union and how it affects their lives.
Sinn Féin's support of the Beazley report () 'The European Dimension of school teaching materials' should not be viewed as an endorsement of an increased role for the European Union in the education system of Member States. Education is a responsibility for each Member State and should remain so."@en1
