"Mr President, I also wish to thank the Council for its answer to the question. My follow-up question concerns the Turkish penal code which has, of course, recently been changed. A look at this new code reveals an Article 305 which still states that talking about the Armenian genocide in the media is a crime punishable by a prison sentence. This means, of course, that it is still directly prohibited to mention this historical fact, namely that hundreds of thousands of Armenians were murdered in the last century in what is now Turkey. Will the Council broach the subject of this Article 305 in its contacts with Turkey? How do you view its content?"@en1
