In her report, Mrs Jöns addresses the subjects of health care and health services which, in different ways, have a big effect upon individuals in their daily lives. She addresses many important aspects of health care and the health services, which we too, of course, consider to be of great importance to the population of Europe. We nonetheless believe that responsibility for health care and health services must remain as close to the user as possible. In order to obtain the best adapted health care and health services, we believe that responsibility must lie at national, rather than EU, level. We have therefore chosen to vote against this report."@en1
