"Mr President-in-Office, you said that the Council had not discussed the legal nature of the intervention in Iraq; however, the Greek Presidency, in its declaration on 16 April, essentially legalised the Anglo-American intervention – or what I would call incursion – and the Council in Thessaloniki took a similar position. This is, of course, manifestly opposed to the disposition of the peoples of the Member States of the European Union, who have demonstrated in every country against this murderous incursion. Is the Council not concerned about the gap between its deeds and the peoples' disposition?"@en1
