". Mr President, I have listened extremely closely to the speeches by the honourable Members of this Parliament. I believe that I have taken note of them all and we shall try to draw on them in the same spirit as that adopted by most Members who have spoken here this afternoon. We all have the same aim – an aim I believe we have shared for a long time and not just as of today – which is to find a formula that will enable us to implement the United Nations Security Council resolutions, with the existence of two States that are able to live next to one another in peace and stability, in a region that is stable and in which the two States are recognised by all their neighbours. This is our earnest desire, our dream and what we want to become a reality as soon as possible. I wish to reply very briefly to the two questions put to me by Mr Menéndez del Valle. In response to the first, I am not aware of any bilateral agreement that addresses the issue of settlements. I am only aware of the ‘Roadmap’ as a whole. Secondly, there can be reservations, on the part of all those involved, provided that all Members of the ‘Quartet’ are willing to implement the Roadmap in its entirety."@en1
