In particular, this first report lays down more stringent rules for the supervision of the activities of banks and insurance undertakings. As representative of the Pensioners’ Party, I support this document because it is important that those who invest and deposit their money in banks and insurance undertakings have guarantees that their money will be well spent and will yield that fruit which is so important for many citizens, including the less well-off, which category, of course, includes pensioners.
