"Madam President, I should like to endorse Mr Dupuis' remarks about not calling Macedonia "FYROM" and to recommend that the whole of Parliament align its practice with the Dutch text of this week's agenda which lists the Council and the Commission statements on Wednesday morning as being about "Macedonia", whereas the English text says "FYROM". Mr Dupuis is quite right. How can we expect a country to have an identity when it is called by an acronym? Let us please put an end to this nonsense."@en1
