"I agree with what you say, Mr de Roo, but we must be realistic and implement what you are calling for in Europe first of all, assiduously and incisively. Only then can we make this demand in cases where investments are made outside Europe. You are absolutely right: if there is one immediate effect of globalisation, it is the need for the same rules governing these issues throughout the world. However, in my opinion, for the time being, our task is to be assiduous in ensuring that these matters are respected in the European Union, at least.
