Triples with object UKIP voted against this non-legislative report. UKIP is seriously concerned at the level of interference by the Commission in Poland – in particular the use of the Rule of Law mechanism. We believe this sets a dangerous precedent in the further erosion of the sovereignty of EU Member States. We do not take an opinion on the reforms being pursued by the newly elected Polish government but firmly believe that this is a matter for the democratically elected Government of Poland and the constitutional courts to decide
