Triples with object UKIP voted against this nomination as Mr Šadžius is highly political. He is currently the Finance Minister for the Socialist government in Lithuania. He helped Lithuania join the euro and wants more EU integration. He is a pro-EU politician and UKIP questions his neutrality when auditing the EU’s accounts. We seriously doubt he will want to criticise or root out bad or illegal EU spending.
