Triples with object UKIP voted against the setting up of a complaints mechanism as we feel such a mechanism would be ineffective, open to malicious false claims and potentially demotivate border staff. Furthermore, we feel that a far better way to protect borders is to have sovereign states decide their own immigration policies, rather than to set up complaint mechanisms in an already broken and unworkable system.
