Triples with object UKIP did not support the ratification of Association Agreements with Ukraine, Georgia or Moldova. The signing of these agreements contributed to increased tensions between the EU and Russia and contributed to the increased insecurity in eastern Europe and the Caucasus. They are also seen as a step towards future EU membership. As such we voted against. UKIP were however pleased to note that Amendment 17 called for the EU to ensure that the upcoming vote in the Netherlands on the EU-Ukraine Agreement is respected.
