Triples with object UKIP MEPs have voted against this non-legislative report. UKIP firmly rejects the establishment of an EU mechanism on democracy, the rule of law and fundamental rights. UKIP believe that this mechanism is a severe infringement of national sovereignty. UKIP also vehemently opposes calls in this report for the EU to accede to the ECHR.
