Triples with object Labour welcomes the close cooperation between the River Commissions, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the European Institutions in order to increase efficiency and much needed legal clarity for the inland navigation sector, which mainly consists of SMEs. We fully support the coherent framework to ensure the same level of safety for inland waterway vessels all around Europe. We would urge the UK to ensure that all aspects of our standards follow best practice in this area including on inspections.
