Triples with object I voted in favour of these objections to GMO authorisations. The European Commission has yet to propose a new authorisation procedure since its very weak proposal was rejected earlier this year. In spite of the fact that the EP called for a new proposal, the Commission continues to authorise GMOs under a flawed procedure which they themselves have admitted does not work. For these reasons I voted in favour of the objection.
