Triples with object I voted in favour of a decision to postpone discharge of this aspect of the 2014 budget. The text of the resolution is highly critical of the Council over its lack of transparency and notes that it has failed to comply with the discharge procedure. A strong message needs to be spent that taxpayers’ money cannot be misspent, and must be spent in an accountable manner. The fact that this is not happening merely adds fuel to the fire for those of us who believe that the United Kingdom would be better off outside the European Union.
