"I along with the majority of my colleagues in the Parliament supported this own-initiative report on the EU Youth Strategy 2013-2015. The report is giving the second period assessment for the framework for European cooperation in the field of the EU Youth Strategy, which covers the period of 2010-2018. It defines eight fields of action, namely: education and training, employment and entrepreneurship, health and welfare, participation, volunteering, social inclusion, youth and the world, creativity and culture. It is an assessment for the past period. I was happy that the resolution called for better cooperation in finding common solutions to the challenges such as early school-leaving, proper counselling on educational path, involving the youth to the decision-making processes and integrating young refugees via the education and training. Likewise, I was glad that the rapporteur noted that the Youth Guarantee and Youth Employment Initiative has not been fully functional in some Member States."@en1
