"I felt it appropriate to abstain on this resolution overall. I supported an amendment calling for the withdrawal of Turkish troops from Iraqi territory. There was much of this resolution which I could support, but also too much of a call for European Union involvement in a situation which (internationally) should be considered by the UN, not the EU."@en1
