"Madam President, it makes total sense, obviously, to carry out a mid-term review with all that has happened in the last few years, much of it unexpected, some of it predictable, but in a lot of cases people did not listen. But the first thing you have got to do is to do the simple things. I think it says a lot about the European Union that it has become so complicated that apparently it is impossible not to do the simple thing of not travelling down here once every month, wasting time, wasting money, and, most importantly, wasting our ability to think, because while we are travelling all over Europe, we are not getting time to think about the problems of Europe and how to solve them. If we cannot solve something that is pretty much a drip in comparison to the flood that we are facing, then we would want to think about where we are going. We have got to stop travelling down here, because you cannot preach to anyone how they spend their money if you repeatedly do something stupid like this."@en1
