"Today I voted in favour of this strategy for liquefied natural gas and gas storage as it is an important pillar to strengthen the EU’s energy security. While increasing security of energy supply, the EU strategy for LNG should crucially fit into the wider European climate and energy targets and priorities, and correspond to the COP21 Agreement, putting a focus on reducing demand, improving energy efficiency and phasing out fossil fuels."@en1
