lpv:spoken text	"I supported the objection because, as with the other votes on GMO maize, I believe that the Commission’s implementing decision is not compatible with Union law. As well as that, there was no agreement among Member States in the Standing Committee to approve this product, mainly due to the lack of long-term feeding and toxicity studies and to insufficient risk assessment studies. Finally, considering the Parliament had already rejected the Commission proposal of 22 April 2015 for a new GMO sales and use policy and asked them to come forward with a new policy, I believe that it does not make sense to authorise GMO products. For all of the above reasons I voted in favour of the objection, plus the fact that I do not support the introduction of GMOs into the European Union."@en1
