"As the world’s largest market, and a global actor in trade, the EU is able to shape globalisation. This is something the UK has always benefited from, and risks losing as Brexit unfolds. The EU needs a socially-sensitive industrial policy, which adjusts to the situation regarding global markets, and is compatible with trade policy, in order to safeguard European industries and create real sustainable and inclusive economic growth. The UK requires much the same kind of progressive industrial policy, regardless of the choices we make on Brexit, and Labour will continue to hold the Tory government to account on this."@en1
