lpv:spoken text	"This report relates to a ‘prospectus’ – an information and disclosure document – that must be provided to investors in the context of seeking to raise capital on the capital markets. The proposed regulation is part of the Capital Markets Union (CMU). The Commission wants further to harmonise the prospectus regime in the EU so that it will be easier for companies and investors to buy and sell bonds and shares. The proposed measures specifically aim to: reduce the administrative burden of drawing up of prospectuses for all issuers and in particular for SMEs and frequent issuers of securities and secondary issuances; make the prospectus a more relevant disclosure tool for potential investors, especially in SMEs; and achieve more convergence between the EU prospectus and other EU disclosure rules. We are in favour of maximum disclosure on risk to consumers, so we are opposed to some of the exemptions, but we are also fundamentally opposed to the CMU. Because of the CMU aspects in the report, I voted against it."@en1
