"Mr President, since our glorious Brexit vote we have seen a large number of economic scare stories kicked into the long grass. But this should not disguise or hide the Government’s policies that are turning the screws on working people. We have seen record numbers of zero—hours contracts – zero—hours contracts that provide absolutely no job security whatsoever. The Government is also set to introduce ‘pay to stay’ for council tenants. Let us put that into perspective. They are levying a tax on the poorest in society. That is simply not on and we will fight it all the way. Brexit was a vote by those left behind by big business, big government and the political class and we will make sure that Brexit benefits those who voted to get our country back."@en1
