"I voted in favour of this legislative report on energy labelling that will now restore the original A to G scale for classifying the energy efficiency of products that will make labels more understandable to the consumer. Energy labelling is favourable to the environment as it allows consumers to obtain accurate, relevant and comparable information on the energy efficiency and consumption of energy-related products wherever they are in the Union. I was pleased to see the report also clearly bans all kinds of cheating software, which will prevent industry enabling appliances to over-perform better during performance tests."@en1
