lpv:spoken text	"The initiative put forward by the European Parliament calling for peace in the Congo region was progressive, however, the Joint Motion for a Resolution was not critical enough on the interference of certain countries and companies in destabilising the country. My Group, GUE/NGL tabled an alternative resolution which was much more critical and got to the root of the issues. However, as the majority of MEPs voted in favour of the Joint Resolution, I did not have an opportunity to endorse this alternative one and therefore, I was left with no choice but to abstain on this Resolution."@en1
