In recent polling, 90% of those surveyed said that they wanted mandatory country of origin labelling for processed meat, and 84% wanted mandatory country of origin labelling for milk. Some have suggested that if this was put in place it would support local producers and local farmers and ensure that people knew what they were eating."@en1
