lpv:spoken text	"Madam President, I think most citizens were greatly surprised when they became aware of the extent of tax avoidance, within Europe and beyond, especially when every single worker – albeit in the public sector or the private sector – has to pay every single cent they are due in tax, no avoidance possible, and pursued to the limit if they are tried. At the same time, multinationals were able to utilise their resources to avail of every loophole to create billions and billions of extra revenue. This has to stop and I am glad that this is a first step, but not a final step. Mr Lamassoure said that we need to move in to the age of transparency, and this is only the start of transparency. I am at a loss to understand why we put the threshold so high at EUR 750 million, and – as has been said – that only catches one out of 10 multinationals. Everybody and every company and every multinational should pay all their taxes."@en1
