lpv:spoken text	"Reliable statistics in the field of balance of payments international trade in services (ITS) and foreign direct investment (FDI) are crucial for the monitoring of the economic development in the EU and in individual Member States. I voted in favour of this revision that will make those statistics more transparent and efficient for EU economic policy decisions as well as enhance the cooperation between international organisations with an aim to increase the quality of the data and promote exchange of best practices. Furthermore, I welcome the new inclusion of pilot projects related to FDI statistics on the ultimate beneficiary ownership concept in order to assess a concrete and efficient methodology in reporting and aggregating the data. These pilot studies will be carried out by Member States 24 months after the regulation comes into force followed by a report from the Commission 12 months later."@en1
