lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report as did the majority of the Parliament. This report clearly highlights the need for more synergy between the EESC, EP and Committee of the Regions. This would have a positive impact in the formulation of European legislation. In addition to that, the report reiterates the fact that the EESC needs to find further savings in salary costs and especially in travelling expenses. However, there has been savings in the overall EESC budget since 2013 which needs to be acknowledged but further consolidation and rationalisation needs to occur to make the institution more efficient. I am delighted, however, that the gender gap in the EESC did marginally close but as the rapporteur stated, more needs to be done."@en1
