lpv:spoken text	"I supported this report which will extend the role of the European Agency for Railways, in line with the Interoperability and Safety Directives. The Agency, under this legislation, will be able to delegate specific tasks to national safety authorities on the basis of contractual agreements, allowing the people with the best expertise in running a nation’s railway system to maintain the control they need, while enabling the European dimension to make the system work better. This agreement should avoid the need for equipment manufacturers or rail operators to duplicate regulatory applications and it will also contribute to ensuring consistency within the European Traffic Management System. All of this should, hopefully, result in a lowering of ticket prices and improve the quality and management of Europe’s rail system."@en1
