"I supported the resolution granting the Director of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work discharge in respect of the Agency’s 2014 budget. The final budget of the Agency for 2014 was EUR 17 256 026, representing a decrease of 1.17% compared to 2013. The level of committed appropriations carried over to 2015 for Title II (administrative expenditure) was EUR 443 412 or 34% but I note that this mainly relates to the purchase of goods and services, as planned, in connection with the Agency’s fitting out of its new premises, the renewal of annual IT contracts and the cost of audit services. The Agency’s move to its new premises was fully implemented in 2014 and gives the staff more space and better working conditions as well as better meeting facilities for visitors and importantly has resulted in substantial savings on rent as well. Also positive is the key role the Agency is playing in the implementation of the EU Strategic Framework on Health and Safety at Work 2014 to 2020 as well as the work it has done through its Healthy Workplaces Campaign to strengthen risk prevention and promote sustainable and healthy workplaces."@en1
