"Despite not having a coast, the West Midlands can still benefit from well looked-after maritime spaces in terms of our diet and the general environment. My constituency is one where many people move around, and keeping the waterways and seas clean is a must, not just for the pleasure of holidaying West Midlanders, but also for the general environmental quality of our waters for fishing, sport and ecosystems. The EMSA is vital to this end and been an important agency in terms of delivering the EU policy goals and results. There is now good progress being made in terms of this agency sharing best practice with other agencies and it has shown that it will, where feasible, support other services. This agency has proven that it is of clear benefit to EU citizens, performance is improving every year and it receives my support."@en1
