"European Maritime Safety Agency's work in contributing to maritime safety, preventing of ship pollution in Europe, and assisting Member States and the Commission under international and Union law is of paramount importance. I support its collaboration with European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction in the area of human resources and ICT is of huge practical significance. For those reasons I have voted in favour of this discharge. However, I am seriously concerned with the staff reduction and budgetary cuts which became applicable in 2014. Other than that, I welcome the agency's collaboration with other European Agencies especially regarding the current refugee crisis."@en1
