lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report that seeks to help clarify the role of the European Union in the financial sector by examining the work of the EU within organisations of a political and technical nature. With so many international financial bodies, for example the IMF, OECD, IASB, G20 etc., all showing diversity in legal status, operating jurisdictions, internal structure, and competencies, the relationships between these bodies as well as with the EU are complex. This report highlights this diversity and fragmentation of international financial bodies and stresses the need for clarification of roles and international regulatory cooperation. In addition, given the strategic importance of the financial sector for growth and jobs, the report calls for a review of multilateral global cooperation, giving increased importance to the EU and the euro area and also calls for the Commission to take initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability in international fora."@en1
