As a post graduate student of development I worked in Brazil and learnt of the epidemic of street violence and the high level of murders amongst the young male population who too often get caught up in organised crime and gang warfare. This is the number one factor holding back the country from achieving its full potential and we in Europe can help through our excellent Europol agency run by British security expert Rob Wainwright."@en1
