lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, at every stage of their journeys to, and indeed within, Europe, women and girls are targeted by people who seek to exploit them. Women and girls are targets for smugglers and traffickers and are at risk of being sold into prostitution and domestic servitude. Many of these are underage girls travelling on their own, as we have heard from one of the other speakers. All of these women and girls are at heightened risk of all forms of violence and sexual assault. Therefore we need measures to meet the specific needs of women, and they have too often only been considered as an afterthought. Most of the time there are not even minimum standards in reception centres for preventing violence against women, such as single-sex sanitation facilities, which would seem absolutely obvious. What we need, therefore, is gender sensitivity in all aspects of our policies, from the design stage to delivery and evaluation."@en1
