He has gained considerable experience in working for regulatory bodies in Italy and internationally. My hope is that he can build on the successes of EIOPA – which include the recent harmonisation of EU insurance regulation (Solvency II). We should be seeking a consistent level of regulation of financial systems across the EU, including coordinated responses to common problems. But we will not be able to help consumers in the UK should we turn our back on the EU."@en1
