This report rightly highlights the vulnerable situation in which female asylum seekers, often fleeing sexual violence, find themselves. However, I cannot support the view that the responsibility and cost for asylum procedures be shared by all 28 Member States. Nor should Member States be forced to take part in resettlement programmes. I therefore abstained in the vote on this matter."@en1
