"Despite the UK not being a member of the Eurozone (and it does not look like it is going to join the currency union in the near future), the ECB plays an important role in the EU and for the prosperity for those inside and outside the Eurozone. Britain has a vested interest in the success of the Eurozone and the efficiency of the ECB, the European Central Bank.
The role that the ECB plays in regards to its non-conventional monetary policy operations is positive and vital. But, in my view, there are limits to what monetary policy can achieve, and structural reforms are needed and investments need to be more targeted if we are going to be able to see a real difference to people’s lives and lift people’s standards of living across this continent."@en1
