As the digital single market is expanded, the EU must also ensure inclusive access to the internet and other technologies, and promote a high degree of digital literacy, ICT education and life-long learning. Particularly, it must strive for the inclusion of women and girls in fields of ICT, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) and entrepreneurship.
