Their three priorities for 2016 are commendable: relaunching investment, which is crucial; pursuing structural reforms to modernise our economies; and, of course, responsible rather than populist fiscal policies. I also welcome their commitment to try to reduce long-term unemployment and especially the unacceptably high levels of youth unemployment.
