lpv:spoken text	"I support this resolution as I strongly believe that the EU can and must uphold international humanitarian law. The resolution highlights that some EU Member States have continued to authorise transfers of weapons to Saudi Arabia in clear violation of the EU Common Position, despite evidence that these weapons have been used to commit human rights abuses in Yemen. Together with other MEPs, we have also raised this issue directly with the Vice President of the Commission/High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy in a written question and I welcome the adoption of a resolution on the matter as an additional means to build up pressure on the Commission and the European External Action Service."@en1
