"I support this report, which calls attention to the fact that local and regional authorities are instrumental to the functioning of the European Structural and Investment Funds, as they are close to citizens and best understand their needs. Therefore it is important that the Commission provides support to regional and local authorities in order to strengthen their role and impact in managing ESI funds, with the aim of creating economic growth and sustainable jobs."@en1
