However, I feel I have to abstain on this motion as the calls in the resolution for a new EU agenda, a new framework and additional white papers and studies that could open the door to additional financial support being pumped into this area. In the current challenging times where national governments are having to cut expenditure and bring down deficits across Europe, it would not be responsible to call for additional money to be allocated."@en1
