"I voted in favour of this resolution urging all stakeholders in Libya, the region and the international community to move the Libyan political transition forward. We cannot afford any further delay in implementing the Libyan Political Agreement and establishing a Government of National Accord. There is an urgent need to start reforming and building state institutions, consolidating the rule of law, improving the human rights situation and tackling human trafficking. It is deeply concerning that Libya has become home to the largest Daesh forces outside of the Middle East and forms a Daesh bridgehead on the Mediterranean south coast, posing a major threat to neighbouring countries in the Sahel and Sahara, as well as to Europe. We will not be able to tackle this unless a stable, inclusive government is put into place that receives full support from the international community and upholds high standards on human rights."@en1
