"New road tests measuring real emissions are urgently needed and the import here is real. Under the present proposal which was agreed behind closed doors by the Commission and Member States there will be a dilution of agreed EU emission norms. In fact we could end up awarding manufacturers who did not comply in the first place. Therefore, I voted in favour of this objection. We need better outcomes for our citizens."@en1
