"The situation in Burundi is extremely serious. Violence is escalating inside the country and there is growing evidence of arms being distributed among some of those living in refugee camps in neighbouring states. Given the situation in Burundi and the implications for the wider East African community if the situation does not improve it is vital that the EU makes this a priority for UNHCR sessions this year."@en1
