"I welcome this report as a positive step forward for consumers and the digital industry. We need ambitious actions to complete Europe’s Digital Single Market, particularly addressing e-skills for young people, and removing artificial barriers to the development of the collaborative economy. We need a legislative landscape that is innovation-friendly and fosters entrepreneurship. Finally, although I support most of the content of this report, I do want to emphasise that I did not support a Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB), harmonisation of spectrum allocation or extending the scope of the Audiovisual Media Services (AVMS) Directive to include online platforms, and my group requested that these be put to the vote separately to show our opposition to these ideas, which risk undermining the very innovation the Digital Single Market is supporting."@en1
