lpv:spoken text	"Today I joined my Labour colleagues in supporting this report as it is incredibly crucial that young people have access to the required skills in today’s labour market. Tackling youth unemployment should be a top priority if Europe does not want to risk losing the potential of a whole generation. A first step must be to strengthen and implement properly the Youth Guarantee as well as the Youth Employment Initiative. It is fundamental to improve the positive long-term benefits of the opportunities offered to young people through meaningful training programmes and job placements. The UK Government needs to boost jobs, growth and investment to ensure that there are quality jobs for young people in the near future."@en1
